Hi there! My name is Denisse E.B. Perez. I graduated from UIC with a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering. I specialized in Neural Engineering, and for almost a year I have been working in Human Factors engineering. Due to the high level confidentiality of the medical device company I work for, I am often unable to provide samples of the work I have created. And that's where this portfolio comes in (I'll change the name soon).
From my experience, understanding what costumers - whether they are
medical patients, clinical experts, or buyers - allows engineers to
design and develop a product that not only meets the objectives of a
company, but also facilitates customer use. We can't assume a user knows
how to complete certain tasks; nor can we assume that no error will
occur will the device/product/interface is being used. Establishing
those potential errors early in the design process is what minimizes use
error in the future and produces a successful product.
I will utilize this blog to display independent works that I do, as well as new and interesting articles in the many fields of engineering; though particularly in UX/UI research and development.
Please feel free to contact me through my LinkedIn for further information.
